About Me

Jessica Tait is an impassioned artist who thrives on capturing the decisive moments experienced by her subjects. With over a decade of experience in communications, an undergraduate degree in Art History from Mary Baldwin College, a graduate degree in Leadership from Georgetown University, and an honorary doctorate from D’Youville College, Jessica has built a reputation as an accomplished industry leader and communications professional who truly understands the power of visual storytelling.

The defining moment of her professional career thus far occurred while serving as the U.S. government spokesperson during the internationally acclaimed 2018 Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand. She became an international icon overnight, appearing on countless national and international media outlets as the face of the U.S. response to the presumed-lost boys soccer team.

The U.S. Ambassador to Thailand at the time recognized the impact of her performance on the world stage and explosive popularity on social media. He invited her back to Bangkok to lead a women’s empowerment program, serving as a symbolic role model to Thai women through numerous public speaking engagements and media interviews. Jessica was asked to serve as the commencement speaker for D’Youville College in 2019 and has continued to share her story through published content, interviews and community engagements.

After a decade shaping high-stakes messaging on the global stage, Jessica’s professional journey has only deepened her passion for storytelling. Now serving in the Air Force Reserves, she is embracing a new chapter—one that centers creativity and connection. Drawing on years of leadership and communications expertise, she now turns her focus toward telling the stories that too often go unheard, using her lens to illuminate the extraordinary in everyday lives.

Jessica’s love for visual storytelling began in childhood and found its true voice during her time living in Southeast Asia from 2016 to 2018. Embedded with Air Commandos across the Pacific, she lived fast—camera in hand, heart wide open—writing, photographing, and documenting stories of grit, adrenaline, and raw, unfiltered humanity.

As a self-taught photographer, she developed a signature style of candid portraiture—intimate, honest, and deeply human. Those years shaped both her eye and her ethos: to approach every subject with curiosity, reverence, and heart.

Today, Jessica continues to evolve as an artist, strategist, and global citizen—traveling the world with compassion and a camera in hand. Through each image and every story, she remains devoted to one purpose: to bear witness, build bridges, and document the quiet beauty and resilience of the human experience.
